Eric and his sister Gloria are taking Jason out to the local nightclub. When they get to the door, the bouncer tells Jason that he can go in but won't let Eric in. The bouncer says that Eric's clothes don't meet the dress code. [Scene pauses and thought bubbles appear] (Jason) Let's just try out the bouncer and see if it is the clothes. (Eric) It's not the clothes that's the problem here - it's the colour of my skin. (Bouncer) This girl is hot but that black guy could be trouble. (Gloria) Why is it always so hard to get into a night club with the boys? [Scene continues] So Jason and Eric decide to go around the corner and swap shirts and shoes to see if they can get Eric in. When they get back to the door, the bouncer again waves Jason through but Eric is still stopped at the door. [Scene pauses and thought bubbles appear] (Jason) I bet they'd let Gloria and me in. (Eric) This just goes to prove it - it's the colour of my skin. (Bouncer) These two would be OK but I can't trust that black guy. (Gloria) I'm getting so angry with this guy - there are so many other people in there dressed worse than Eric. [Scene continues] Gloria has been watching and listening and now she and Jason try to argue Eric's case. But the queue is growing and the bouncer is getting irritated. He tells Jason again that he can go in and also waves Gloria through, but Eric is still excluded. [Scene pauses and thought bubbles appear] (Jason) This bouncer is racist. (Eric) This is really unfair. (Gloria) We can't go in and leave Eric out there. [Scene continues] Jason and Gloria are unhappy about leaving Eric outside, so the three of them leave together and head of elsewhere.
