While we at ITAC usually don't allocate time to apply for awards—believing our efforts are better spent directly supporting our students—there are occasions when we choose to step into the competitive arena to exemplify what true quality in vocational education can look like. We're pleased to say that both ITAC and our students have earned prestigious awards as a testament to our commitment to educational excellence. These accolades serve not as a final destination, but as milestones that affirm the effectiveness and value of our programs and services.
We are immensely proud and excited to announce that Ebony Springall, a graduate of the Institute of Teacher Aide Courses, has received the esteemed recognition of South Australia's Vocational Student of the Year. Her journey into the realm of education began whilst volunteering in her son's reception class, igniting a passion for supporting children with learning challenges. With encouragement from her family and friends, she chose to enrol in a combined Certificate III and IV in Education Support.
The course's flexible online format enabled her to harmonise her educational endeavours with her existing family and work commitments. Upon completing her coursework, she swiftly landed a role at Woodend Primary School in South Australia. Ebony's commitment to her own professional development and her dedication to making a meaningful impact in the lives of students make this accolade particularly well-deserved. We look forward to witnessing the continued positive influence she will undoubtedly have in her educational career.
We're thrilled to share that the Institute of Teacher Aide Courses is a finalist for the 2021 Australian Small Business Champion Awards. This national program celebrates the achievements of small and medium-sized businesses across Australia, recognizing their significant contributions to both the local community and the broader economy.
Receiving this nomination is a collective achievement, and we owe our success to the dedication and hard work of our students, staff, and partnering schools. This recognition is not just an accolade for our institute; it's a testament to the collective commitment to quality education and student success. Thank you for helping us make this remarkable achievement possible.
We're honoured to announce that the Institute of Teacher Aide Courses (ITAC) was selected as a state finalist (top 3) for the Queensland Training Provider of the Year award in 2020 from a competitive field of 800 applications. This recognition places us among the most distinguished institutions in the region.
The accolade is a tribute to the collective hard work and commitment of our team at ITAC, along with our students, placement schools, and mentor teachers. Your contributions have played a crucial role in this momentous accomplishment, and we extend our deepest thanks to everyone involved.
We are thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of Tania Paulson, who clinched the title of Regional Vocational Student of the Year in Queensland. Tania earned her Certificate IV in Education Support and has been a shining example of dedication and passion in her role at Anakie State School.
